Novell Canada Launches
eBusiness Security Tour
Featuring the latest
security issues that are critical to today’s eBusiness
MARKHAM, Ontario – October 2, 2000 – Novell Canada today announced the launch of the eBusiness Security Tour across Canada. Hosted by Novell with partners including Compaq Canada, IBM Canada, Veritas Software and JBMLogic, the eBusiness Security Tour will take place in five Canadian cities beginning October 11, targeting IT professionals and eBusiness specialists.
According to the IDC research, commissioned by Novell, the explosion of eCommerce, forecast to reach US $1.6 trillion by 2003, is offering organizations of all sizes new opportunities for growth. Organizations must open up their systems to unprecedented levels of users. However, they must also invest more in security. Current IDC research shows over 75% of companies spend less that 10% of their budget on security inititatives. The research also indicated the next phase of eBusiness will be driven by electronic relationships and eCommunities. This validates Novell’s one Net vision – enabling companies to break down traditional network boundaries to create new interactions with partners, suppliers, employees and customers.
The free half-day event is designed to provide valuable information on security issues that are key to successful eBusiness today:
